As a specialist in credit management and debt collection, Credit Management Company (CMC Worldwide) has built a strong reputation for cybersecurity—having never experienced a single incident. Still, in 2021, the company decided that prevention is always better than cure. To strengthen their cybersecurity now and for the future, they partnered with MMOX.

Cybersecurity: a customer requirement

CMC Worldwide has been receiving phishing emails on a weekly basis for years. ‘It’s not a huge problem in itself,’ says Operations Manager Jorick Wimmenhoeve. ‘When you operate internationally, you’re naturally more exposed to these kinds of threats. The key is recognizing them in time and taking the right precautions. As a service provider, we set high standards for cybersecurity—especially because we handle white-label credit management and communicate on behalf of our clients. At the start of the partnership, MMOX also installed two Cyber Sensors within CMC Worldwide’s systems. ‘These sensors monitor all network traffic and block potential attacks,’ says Jorick. ‘If MMOX detects something suspicious, they immediately alert us. Their focus is mainly on prevention.’ Ravi adds, ‘Even if an incident happens at another company, we get an instant warning.’
