Everything in our architectural office is digital. We are in constant contact with our partners in the construction industry. Consultants, contractors, project developers; they all want our input or we receive data from them. The Internet connection is the 'life line' we cannot do without.
Connecting to the Internet is so indispensable to us that 90 percent of our work would stop if we cannot access the Internet. Now that we know that, we want to do everything we can to maintain that connection.
The information contained in our computers can harm our clients, but also ourselves, if the wrong people have access to it. It usually concerns projects that are not yet public and that should not (yet) become public. This means that the information must really remain internal.
With an ever-growing company and expanding ICT, it is difficult to check who is on the Internet and how we are connected to the Internet. And which clients can watch or have access to certain data. Protocols are indispensable, but physical protection is as well.
At the access to our ICT network they have now installed the smart box of MMOX Smart. This is our guarantee that all our privacy-sensitive information is safe and that our outgoing and incoming Internet traffic is constantly checked and secured.
With more and more people using the Internet, we don't want to lose speed. Fortunately, the installation of the Cyber Defense Center appears not to have any influence on speed. The security works fine and I don't notice it at all.
